Research

I am a postdoctoral scholar in the Community Data Science Collective (UW, Northwestern, Purdue, UTexas), working at the intersection of human-computer interaction, empirical software engineering, cybersecurity, privacy, and organizational communication. My research investigates how people cooperate to build and maintain public goods like software and knowledge, including what gets neglected, who is excluded, and how we can measure and mitigate the risks we face. I have a PhD in Communication from the University of Washington, a MS in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, and a background in Information Technology.
